General Information
The Fogelberg Performing Arts Center features a proscenium stage with an 800-seat house. An enclosed technical booth in the house provides control for lighting, sound, projection, and communication systems. Adjacent to the stage is a scenic shop, and nearby is a prop and costume storage room. Eight dressing rooms are in the halls directly backstage, as are two warm-up/practice rooms with pianos.
The Fogelberg Performing Arts Center hosts the performances of many community concerts, dance companies, and Burlington Public Schools theatrical productions and concerts. The BHS Music Department has hosted the Great East Festival and Mass Bay Music Festival in the Fogelberg Performing Arts Center. Additionally, the Fogelberg is used as the space for Town Meeting and other large official gatherings for the Town of Burlington.
The Fogelberg Performing Arts Center's systems and accompanying spaces are maintained and run by the Burlington High School Stage Crew Club, an extracurricular student group that focuses on education and development of technical theatre skills. If there is an event, trained students from Stage Crew Club must be hired by the company renting the venue. Details can be provided by the club advisor, John Middleton-Cox. www.bhsstagecrew.blogspot.com
